Our Partners

We are very grateful to all of our partners for supporting KYGN over the last 10 years. So much has been achieved and none of it could have happened without you.

If you'd like to partner with KYGN we'd love to hear from you. As a tiny charity we are always grateful for fundraising or administrative support outside of Tanzania. We also welcome any organisations who'd like to support us on the ground in Mabogini. Please do get in touch!

Global Footprints

KYGN is so delighted to have the long term support of Global Footprints who have created a sustainable and lasting special relationship that has contributed to the success of KYGN. Global Footprints have been sending volunteer teams to KYGN since 2012 who have built classrooms, worked on the kitchen and helped build a new set of dormitories. They have raised funds for materials, done some of the construction personally and even purchased land for the buildings. Global footprints combine volunteering with local projects and challenging outdoor activities.

Kilimanjaro Young Girls in Need UK (KYGN UK)

KYGN UK is a UK registered charity (Registration 1157362) which we set up so that donors outside Tanzania could have an easy way to donate. Every penny you donate here goes directly to our projects in Tanzania and the people who need it most.  If you are a UK tax payer, donating through KYGN UK also means we can claim Gift Aid on your donation.

Surbiton High School

Surbiton High School is doing fantastic work for KYGN.  Following a major fundraising campaign, Surbiton High School students have funded a new purpose built library.  A team of Surbiton students went to Tanzania in 2016 to fit out the new library building.  The project was the brainchild of school librarian, Joseph Humphreys, who visited KYGN in 2014 and is passionate about the need for all children to have access to books.  Now a Gold Sponsor for KYGN UK,  the partnership continues, Joseph will be taking another group of students back to KYGN in 2018 to carry out more work on the library, deliver more books and work with the KYGN students.

Goodwill and Growth for Africa (GAGA)

At the March 2013 meeting of T4A,Goodwill and Growth for Africa (GAGA), heard about Kilimanjaro Young Girls in Need. GAGA's partnership with KYGN UK is now in its fourth year offering advice, support and crucial funding with one of the GAGA Trustees  visiting the project. Impressed by what they learned, GAGA has now supported construction work to help complete the new school and the safe house.  The partnership continues in 2017 with GAGA supporting the safe house and providing funds for a project worker to help develop sustainable income streams.
